About the Kent Grand Prix
The Kent Road Running Grand Prix is a flagship KCAA competition for affiliated clubs across the county. It runs across ten road races and rewards both depth and consistency, with team points built from the leading runners in each event and the best performances counting across the series.
Men’s Team, Overall Champions
In the men’s competition, Maidstone Harriers secured the overall title for 2025, edging Thanet Road Runners by 48 points after the full ten-race series (3,739 to 3,691). The standings were close all season, and the official series recap described it as a nail-biter right through the later stages.
This was a huge, well deserved achievement for everyone involved, from the runners scoring points week after week, to the captains and coaches keeping the momentum going when legs and enthusiasm were both feeling “seasoned”.
Individual Men’s Highlights
A massive shout-out goes to Phil Edmonds, who finished 2nd overall in the men’s individual standings out of 580 scored athletes. Three more Harriers also landed in the overall top 20, with Sam Edwards (7th), Simon Apps (9th) and Adrian Perkins (17th). Even better, 51 different Maidstone Harriers men scored across the series, which tells you everything about the depth of the squad.

Ladies’ Team, Overall runners-up
Our women’s team also had an excellent season, finishing 2nd overall behind a very strong Tunbridge Wells Harriers side. Four Harriers placed in the overall top 20 individual standings, with Holly Pan (9th), Uju Onyeka (12th), Emma Brenton (17th) and Lisa Chambers (20th).

Defending the Title: The 2026 Season
A massive well done to every Harrier who turned up, raced hard, cheered loudly, or marshalled in 2025. This trophy is for all of you. But we aren’t stopping here.
The defense of our title is already underway! The 2026 Grand Prix season kicked off with the Canterbury 10 Mile on 25 January, and we are aiming to carry our momentum right through to the finale.
Speaking of finales, the 2026 series is scheduled to conclude on home turf at our very own Maidstone Half Marathon in October. It would be the perfect setting to lift the trophy again.
